Shop Assistant
Job Description:
At Tiny’s Demolition & Recycling, we take pride in our hands-on work, strong team culture, and commitment to safety and sustainability. We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Shop Assistant to join our crew and support our operations both in the shop and on job sites.
Responsibilities
- Deliver equipment and tools to job sites safely and on schedule
- Prepare crew trucks daily with the necessary tools and materials
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on shop and field equipment
- Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and overall housekeeping
- Assist the Shop Manager with day-to-day operations and tasks
Qualifications
- Prior experience driving trucks and towing trailers
- Experience or working knowledge of construction and heavy equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management; able to prioritize and work efficiently
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities
Requirements:
- 50-hour work week (full-time)
- Ability to carry and lift at least 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions and performing physical labor (standing, lifting, etc.)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) *preferred
- OSHA Certification *preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $18–$20 per hour, depending on experience

Position Overview
As a Demolition Laborer, you’ll be an essential part of our field team, performing manual demolition tasks, assisting with site setup and cleanup, and ensuring job sites run safely and efficiently. This is a physically demanding but rewarding role with steady hours and opportunities for advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual demolition work, including interior and exterior tear-outs
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Load, transport, and dispose of debris and recyclable materials
- Assist with setup, maintenance, and breakdown of equipment and job sites
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
- Follow all safety procedures and instructions from supervisors and crew leads
Requirements
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) *strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license *required
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for long periods
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work 50+ hours per week
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA certification (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience in demolition, construction, or related trades
