Bottling Facility
Nashville, TN
About this project
Tiny's Demolition & Recycling completed the full demolition of a decades old industrial bottling facility in Nashville, Tennessee, transforming a 148,230 square foot site into a clean top of slab condition ready for future redevelopment. The scope covered a sprawling warehouse and office complex, multiple outbuildings, and heavy industrial infrastructure, including every structural component down to the stem walls, foundations, spread footings, and canopies.
Beyond structural demolition, the project required careful coordination of utility terminations across water, gas, electrical, and refrigerant recovery systems, including several high pressure refrigeration units that demanded specialized handling. Elevated catwalks, insulated piping runs, and heavy mechanical equipment throughout the facility called for daily fall protection measures, aerial lift certifications, and confined space precautions to keep the crew safe.
The team took a salvage first approach to maximize material recovery, pulling over 110 yards of copper from the site while separating all ferrous and non ferrous metals for recycling at the source. The existing concrete slab and foundations were preserved as the final site surface, cutting out unnecessary import and export hauling while reducing the project's overall environmental impact. Dust suppression ran continuously throughout the job using atomized water cannons.
Manpower scaled from small specialized crews during asset recovery to more than 36 workers at peak across multiple shifts, with parallel work streams keeping copper reclamation, office strip outs, and structural prep moving simultaneously. Crews adapted to severe late summer storms by shifting to interior work during weather delays, ultimately delivering the site safely and without disruption to surrounding operations.
