Tiny's Demolition and Recycling carried out a multi phase interior demolition project inside an active, occupied church campus in the Nashville area, with work spanning four distinct phases plus a separate asbestos abatement scope over roughly a year and a half. Because the facility remained in regular use by staff and the congregation throughout construction, each phase required its own remobilization, site specific safety plan, and updated coordination to keep pedestrian routes clear and avoid disrupting services.

The scope covered the sanctuary, chapel, nursery, classrooms, and administrative spaces. Crews removed more than 33,000 square feet of ceiling systems and nearly 37,000 square feet of flooring finishes, along with interior partitions, built in millwork, 28 wooden pews, door and frame assemblies, and portions of the chancel platform and stairs. Select architectural elements, including sections of the historic prayer rail, were carefully identified and preserved for reuse in the church's new construction. Structural concrete slab sections were saw cut and removed at two floor levels to accommodate new mechanical work.

Later phases uncovered asbestos containing materials across multiple levels of the building. Tiny's crews performed regulated removal under controlled conditions, followed by independent air clearance testing before returning any area to service. Where disturbance posed unnecessary risk, the material was left undisturbed as an engineering control decision.



Across all phases, no health and safety incidents were reported among Tiny's employees, partner trades, or the public, reflecting the disciplined planning and training behind every remobilization into this sensitive, active facility.
