Cookeville Regional Medical Center

Cookeville, TN

About this project

Tiny's Demolition and Recycling executed a detailed selective demolition scope at an active regional medical center, preparing the space for renovation while maintaining a safe, controlled environment throughout an operating healthcare facility. The project ran over several months, requiring careful sequencing to keep disruption to a minimum in a setting where precision and cleanliness are non-negotiable.

The scope covered a wide range of interior removals, including elevator finishes, booths, pendant lighting, ceiling grids, tiles, light fixtures, smoke detectors, and speakers. Crews also removed CMU walls to make way for a new coiling door, along with all plumbing, electrical, and ductwork throughout the affected areas. Additional work included stripping exterior wall insulation, HVAC units, cabinetry, marble sills, flooring, and base materials, all performed under strict safety and waste management protocols suited to a healthcare environment.

Material salvage was a priority throughout the project, with reusable tables carefully removed and preserved rather than discarded. Every phase of the work was managed to protect surrounding hospital operations, requiring close attention to dust control, noise, and access planning in a facility that remained in use during construction.

This project reflects Tiny's depth of experience in healthcare facility demolition, where the margin for error is small and the coordination required is significant. The team's ability to deliver precise, timely selective demolition while safeguarding an active medical environment speaks to the level of care and expertise brought to every phase of the work.
