Tiny's Demolition and Recycling performed large-scale demolition and site preparation across a sprawling twenty-plus building campus in Nashville, spanning more than sixteen acres. The scope included administrative buildings, shop and classroom structures, a welding shop, apartment buildings, a guard shack, and multiple sheds, all requiring complete demolition of structures, slabs, and foundations within each building's dripline.
The project's defining challenge centered on the campus's historic Administration Building. Rather than demolishing the structure outright, the team engineered a shoring and reshoring system along a separation line to protect the portion slated for preservation while the opposite side came down. Interior gutting back to studs was performed on the demolition side to prepare for vertical shoring installation, allowing the building to be safely divided between what would remain and what would be removed.
To manage a campus of this scale, Tiny's organized the work into four distinct demolition quadrants, allowing crews to move through the site in an efficient, phased sequence rather than tackling the entire footprint at once. Site clearing and debris removal were carried out in full compliance with environmental regulations, with recyclable materials diverted from landfills throughout the project. Dust control measures were maintained across all active work areas, and the team secured and managed every demolition permit required for the job.
This project reflects Tiny's ability to execute complex, multi-structure campus demolitions while protecting historic elements that must be preserved, a combination of scale, technical shoring work, and phased logistics that few demolition contractors are equipped to handle.
